Eat Drink Tea(R), bioactive Pu'er essence; at the forefront of the new health movement

Renowned food connoisseur Chua Lam just underwent a balloon angioplasty procedure late last year, but even with a New Year approaching, he still holds onto his love of unhealthy foods and has no plans to change. In fact, Mr. Chua wouldn’t even entertain the thought of reducing the intake of his favourite fatty foods and joked: “as long as we eat whatever we want, the new year will be a happy one,” staying true to his food-loving nature.

Chua Lam, whom from young acquired his love of cooking with pig’s oil as the essential ingredient, coined the phrase “猪油美味“, which translated, means ‘pig’s oil is the epitome of good taste’. He jokes that in the heart of all old food enthusiasts is the love of lard and reiterated by saying that pig’s oil symbolises a good start to the New Year, and cannot be foregone in the celebrations.

“A lot of my good friends are worried about me. But it’s difficult to enjoy food, yet eat healthy. I’ve always believed in the benefits of drinking pu’er tea and its ability to rid our digestive systems of excess oil, and I recently discovered Eat Drink Tea® - bioactive Pu'er essence, which is suitable for my food-loving lifestyle. Earlier, I joined Amanda S and the director of Eat Drink Tea®, Mr. Simon Cheng, for some tea tasting and found the product very much to my liking,” he said, “It has 8 times the polyphenols than in regular pu’er tea, and it is even easy to carry around; incredibly convenient for someone like me, who is constantly on the move.”

These days, many do not understand what truly constitutes ‘tea drinking’. Chua Lam explains that it has origins in the language of ancient China, and to “go tea drinking” actually means to “go eat tea”, emphasizing the Chinese tradition of appreciating tea completely by both eating and drinking.

Cheerfully dishing out some New Year’s advice, Chua Lam said that in this especially cold and bitter winter season, the best way to celebrate Lunar New Year is to gather around the fire, drinking tea and enjoying the company of close friends.

Herding Cats

Ikea is probably the world's most renowned furniture chain. Affordable, attractive, flat-packed home furnishings for every man, woman, child and er... cat?

Apparently so.

Ikea's crazy new ad features 100 cats let loose in their Wembley store. The agile little fellas jump and crawl around the Swedish store's displays and the camera crew somehow managed to catch the felines' golden moments traversing the Ikea showroom terrain.

Move over, Keyboard Cat, Ikea cats are the new viral video champ.

Watch the behind-the-scenes and the actual ad here:

Comic Sans Criminal

We've all been there - whether conjuring digital images on Microsoft Paint, writing emails to long-lost friends or grinding out 50-page thesis papers (gasp!) - at one point or another, we've all been guilty of misusing the Comic Sans font.

Hence, some clever fella with Internet access saw opportunity in this global misjudgment epidemic, and created Comic Sans Criminal, a tongue-in-cheek guide to using the correct use of typography, and more specifically, Comic Sans.

It's cleverly designed, colourful and very well typographied (duh!). A short little exercise than is fun for all, even if you're too hooked on the font to change your ways.

Gaga loves meat

The VMAs have always been one of the wildest red carpets. After all, it's MTV, home of outrageous shows like Jackass and Wildboyz. There's nothing the MTV audience hasn't seen that will shock us into speechlessness. Or at least we thought so...

Cue Lady Gaga and her meat dress. Yep, a dress made entirely out of dinner, with a matching headpiece and twine-tied fillet-shoes as the icing on (beef)cake.

Then, Gaga went onstage to receive her award for Video of the Year, presented by Cher, who was dressed like, well, Cher, in her beaded black leather leotard and stockings. That was probably the only time in the history of the universe that a Cher outfit had been upstaged by another piece of clothing (if the meat dress even qualifies as apparel).

I'm not too sure what to think about Lady Gaga's new venture in fashion. She's always been crazy with her outfits, but nothing so edible before. I mean, this is crazy, right?

What do you guys think?

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters seems to be the ultimate hipster clothing store. Shop assistants look like they hang out at Lower East Side hipster haunt Cake Shop 24/7, the shop is subtly decorated with vintage furnishings, and there's always good indie music playing at a UO store, and the website even gives out mp3s for free download on their site.

So, it's no surprise that She & Him lent their little ditty "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here" to UO's Spring 2008 video catalogue.

Check it out below.

GQ "Rock The Suit”

It's not everyday that Andrew and Ben from MGMT suit up, but when they do work the snappy dressing, the duo clean up very very well.

GQ gathered some of the best and up-coming musicians now and ever. The National, The Walkmen, The Drums and the aforementioned MGMT all appear in GQ's "Rock the Suit", looking super duper dapper. Also in the spread, legendary legend (what other word is there?) David Byrne was in the company of two gorgeous ladies, posing with Santigold and St.Vincent for the magazine.
